Winemakers Rebecca and Peter Work are profoundly welcoming. To arrive here is to feel perfectly at ease. The abundant vines climbing the low hills will be just getting their fall colors. Last year, the kitchen crew from Industrial Eats came out with us to Ampelos Cellars. This year they’ll be down the road doing it in June at our first dinner at Beckmen Vineyards. Chef Budi Kazali of The Gathering Table will be in the field kitchen for this event. Budi, who grew up on the Indonesian island of Java, will send out platters of Pacific Rim cuisine.
